About us

The kindness and generosity of our donors create a ripple effect that is far-reaching, with the power to change the trajectory of our scholarship recipients’ lives and those they impact.

Aspire2STEAM.org (originally established as Mission Sisters Who Work) is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian nonprofit that provides STEAM scholarships and mentoring to young women and girls faced with barriers to achieving STEAM (Science-, Technology-, Engineering-, Arts-, and Mathematics-focused) training, certification, and college education.

Scholarships. Our scholarship program was created because many women and girls today who come from underprivileged communities have already overcome many obstacles when it comes to receiving an education. For those seeking an education beyond high school, once a technical school or college accepts them and they enroll, they are faced with another set of barriers. Most of these women are paying their own tuition and supporting themselves (and others) while working full-time at low-paying jobs. Sadly, many of these vulnerable women simply don’t have the financial means to pay for training and education and many are forced to drop out. This is the driving reason why Aspire2STEAM.org provides scholarships to these hard-working women.

Mentoring. Beyond providing scholarships to help overcome financial barriers, Aspire2STEAM.org offers mentoring support, insights, advice, and tools so young women and girls can promote their own growth and equality in the workplace through proven emotional intelligence leadership practices. This support is provided to scholarship recipients at no charge and is available to them while they are attaining their training, certification, or college education and throughout their career, when needed.

We are looking for businesses and individuals who are asking themselves: What can I do to have a positive impact in the world and support young women and girls working hard to make a better life for themselves and their families?

If you like the feeling that comes from doing something good and you’re drawn to our purpose to provide scholarships and mentoring support to underserved women and girls pursuing STEAM careers, then please take action and support our vital work.
